Teton Village Responds to the Moose Wilson Draft EIS

The National Park Service (NPS) released the Moose-Wilson Corridor Draft Comprehensive Management Plan/ Environmental Impact Statement (Draft Plan/EIS) on Thursday, October 29, 2015. The draft EIS is available for public review and comment at go.nps.gov/mwplan for 60 days through December 29. An informational and interactive public open house will be held on December 9 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Teton County Library in Jackson, Wyoming.

Teton Village Association issued this statement on October 29, reacting to the draft plan after initial review, expressing our concern that the preferred alternative as presented does not address human safety, nor does it include adaptive management actions and transit that would keep this park experience available for all to enjoy. We would like to reiterate our offer to collaborate with our partners at Grand Teton National Park to create and fund environmentally sustainable and forward looking solutions.
