Teton Village Association ISD Board appoints Buckley to fill vacant seat

The Teton Village Association Improvement and Service District (TVA) held a special Board meeting June 4, 2019 to fill the vacancy for the ski resort business representative created by Jerry Blann’s recent resignation. Blann was recognized last September for 20 years of service on the TVA Board, and his dedication to making Teton Village the #1 destination resort community.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) Owner Jay Kemmerer nominated JHMR President Mary Kate Buckley to represent the ski resort business, saying “Mary Kate is well-versed in local issues and opportunities, and our community will continue to benefit from her skill and judgement in collaboration with this board and its constituents.”

At the June 4 meeting, a motion was unanimously approved to appoint Mary Kate Buckley to the board. Buckley, a Teton Village resident who has served on the Board of JHMR since 2014, has served as President of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort since June of 2018.

“As a 10-year permanent resident of Teton Village, I have benefited from the many projects that the TVA has executed,” stated Buckley. She went on to note, “I look forward to working with the TVA Board to continue to provide and improve integral services for the Teton Village community, businesses, and our local and destination visitors alike.”
