Water Quality Report

P1000777

The water source for Teton Village is one of the cleanest in the country.  The alluvial aquifer deep below Teton Village is recharged by previous years’ precipitation and snowmelt.  Water is pumped from the District’s five wells to a water storage tank.  The water is lightly chlorinated to prevent microbial growth, but is not fluorinated, although there is natural fluoride present.    The water measures an approximate hardness level of 113 ppm calcium carbonate units (6.6 grains/gallon)  which is “moderately hard”.

The water is tested every day for chlorine residual to ensure public safety.  In addition, monthly water samples from different locations within the distribution system are tested.  In 2019, all samples were absent of pathogenic bacterial contamination.  For more detail and test results, please see the full 2019 Annual Drinking Water Quality Report for Teton Village Water and Sewer District.

The certified water professionals at Teton Village Water and Sewer District are dedicated to providing some of the highest quality drinking water in the country, and they can be reached at 307-733-9231 or tvwatersewer@gmail.com should you have any questions and/or concerns.
